Confirmed Leeds starting XI v Fulham

Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed his Leeds United starting XI for the game against Fulham at Craven Cottage tonight.

The big news for Leeds fans is that Patrick Bamford is fit to play in the game and will lead the attack in an unchanged line-up.

Rodrigo is out through injury and Liam Cooper is missing with illness.

Under-23s ace Joe Gelhardt is on the bench and Pablo Hernandez is still missing.

The team news was posted on the official Leeds United Twitter page ahead of the 8pm kick-off.

Time to break the curse

Leeds haven’t won in London since December 2017 at Queens Park Rangers under Thomas Christiansen.

That’s a pretty incredible statistic and a pretty incredible coincidence. Because that’s what it has to be, right? If it’s not a coincidence then there is actually a London curse on Leeds.

On paper, it would seem that tonight’s game represents a great chance of breaking the curse.

Fulham are struggling in the bottom three and favourites for relegation.

However, they’ve shown signs that there’s real battle in the side, with a recent win against Liverpool sending out the shockwaves, and they’re actually favourites for the win with the bookies.

If Fulham do win then we know some Leeds fans that are going to be tweeting scared over the international break.

Fulham will be just seven points behind and we’ll have only won one in seven.

Thankfully, our early-season form has given us a big-enough buffer to keep us ahead of the chasing pack.

Eight teams sit below Leeds in the league and it would take a truly incredible run of results for Leeds to be in trouble come the end of the season.

There’s a massive reason why we really want to win tonight. But, if we lose, there’s still no need to panic.
