Confirmed: Leeds United fans set to unveil new Elland Road banner for Liverpool clash

Leeds United fans are set to unveil a new Elland Road banner during the Premier League clash against Liverpool this evening.

The Reds are one of 12 clubs to have caused outrage overnight, after signing up to the European Super League.

Liverpool, along with both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs are the six English clubs to have joined the competition, which could see them kicked out of all current domestic leagues and cups.

Leeds United Trust have confirmed on their Twitter account that they have sorted a new banner ahead of the eagerly anticipated clash this evening.

The Supporters group first asked for one to be manufactured early this afternoon, so we doubt that it will be huge, but it should make a big statement.

It was later shared what the banner would read, and it is a powerful quote from none other than Marcelo Bielsa.

“One of the reasons football is the most popular sport in the world is because the weak can beat the powerful,” it writes.

This banner is simply perfect, and the fact that the quote is from El Loco himself makes it all the more powerful.

Hopefully, this sends a huge message to the likes of Liverpool, and should any of their official board members come to West Yorkshire this evening; this should meet them head-on.

The fact that money has overtaken things such as this is a sad day for football.

It is brilliant to see clubs and fans up and down the country fight back, as it shows that integrity is still in-tact somewhere if it isn’t at the so-called big-six clubs.

We can’t wait to see what happens should we turn Liverpool over this evening, they would be ridiculed by everyone, and possibly even their own fans.
