Gary Neville has joked that Leeds United should just leave the pitch and allow Liverpool to continue scoring this evening in the Premier League.

The Reds are one of six English sides to have signed up to the European Super League, something that has created outrage around the globe.

The new competition will rival the Champions League and is a tournament created to simply increase the wealth of those involved.

Neville has publically destroyed the idea on Sky Sports and has taken to his personal Twitter account to discuss it even further on Monday.

“Leeds players should walk to the side of the pitch and just let them keep scoring,” he said.

“They don’t want competition.”

Big message.

Surely the likes of Liverpool have figured out that this one of the worst ideas that football has seen, with their own fans outraged and fighting back.

Neville is clearly joking around, but what would it say if the Whites were to smash the Premier League champions this evening?

These are meant to be the best clubs in Europe, but yet, West Ham and Leicester are above Liverpool in the league, and Leeds can go above Arsenal this evening.

Marcelo Bielsa has done some crazy things in his career, including letting the opposition score, we all remember that one.

The biggest message the Whites could send out this evening is going full-guns blazing and wiping the floor with Jurgen Klopp’s men, and they would surely be able to handle that given they need more competition, right?
