Coach in passionate praise of Leeds United assistant manager Rene Maric
Jesse Marsch was keen to bring Rene Maric to Leeds United when he took the job and the duo have formed a very good partnership since.
Maric is the American’s right-hand man at Elland Road and key to a lot he tries to get across which, according to RB Leipzig fitness coach Patrick Eisenberger, is one of his key strengths.
Eibenberger and Maric worked together with the Bundesliga club and the praise has been raining in on the Leeds United man.

“He can make black and white out of grey areas in a way I haven’t seen with many others,” Eibenberger said to The Athletic. “He can transfer his thoughts from the theoretical side to the playing side no problem.
“So while he thinks like he thinks, he can speak the players’ language. He knows what he’s talking about and he can break it down.”
Unity
Marsch is the man who has been getting all the credit, and equally criticism when things go wrong, from fans and the media but he has never been a one-man band.
Maric is also just the top of the iceberg of the support staff that is helping to keep Leeds United on course and pushing them to bigger and better things.

But while the coaches play a small part, everything comes under Marsch’s umbrella and it is he that has to manage each and every one of them on a daily basis.
He has been so brilliant at delegating that he could easily sit in the stands against Aston Villa and allow Maric to take the reins during the game with only the odd tactical phone call to the touchline.
There is no more difficult job in football than the manager’s role as many have found out in the past so when a genuinely superb one comes along, you have to do what you can to keep them happy and present.
