Chris Sutton predicts Leeds United game v Chelsea in Premier League for BBC Sport
Chris Sutton has disappointingly backed Chelsea to beat Leeds United in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 4 March.
The BBC pundit and former Blues striker has predicted that it will finish 1-0 to his former side, who are going through on of the worst runs in Europe.
Staggeringly, Real Madrid have scored more goals in England from one game than Chelsea have in the entirety of 2023, something Leeds will be looking to continue this weekend.
Writing in his latest predictions column for BBC Sport, Sutton believes that Leeds have not been scoring enough either, with a tight affair expected in west London.
“This is one of those games where I honestly don’t have a clue what to expect,” he wrote.
“Of course, Chelsea should win it, but I’ve been saying that most weeks about Graham Potter’s side and I have been wrong to think they will start playing better.

“There is a staggering statistic flying around that Real Madrid have scored more goals in England than Chelsea this year which sounds silly but is true – Potter’s side have only found the net four times in 11 matches in 2023, while Real hit five when they went to Anfield last month.
“At the other end, Thiago Silva’s injury is a huge blow for the Blues but Leeds are not exactly free-scoring either, with only one goal in their past four games.
“All of this makes me think that, whoever wins this one, one goal will be enough.”
Anything.
This may be one of the hardest games to predict for anyone.
Leeds and Chelsea have both gone from sides who can score at will and terrorise their opponents with ease, to looking nervous and timid, especially in the final third.
When things aren’t going your way, you often tend to go into your shell, something that has been very clear with these two in recent weeks and months.
Javi Gracia will be looking to change that, and what better way than to win at Stamford Bridge?
Graham Potter has months of bad results behind him now and the pressure is really starting to build on his shoulders, something Gracia will want to take advantage of.
An early away goal would be perfect as it would instantly get the home crowd angered and likely even jeering their side and manager, that would be brilliant.
All eyes are on the capital, and hopefully a positive result for the Whites.
In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
