Chelsea move for Christopher Nkunku could have an impact on Luis Sinisterra Leeds United future
Luis Sinisterra has certainly been a hit since his summer arrival at Leeds United and that has already resulted in the Colombian drawing attention from the continent.
The Athletic report [5 October] that AC Milan have previously viewed the Colombian as someone who could replace Portuguese winger Rafael Leao.
Leao has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, with Milan wanting £87million for the 23-year-old. However, Chelsea have a pre-contract agreement in place for RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku, who has a buy-out clause of £52.4million.
The 24-year-old French attacker looks set to join Graham Potter’s side and that could well have an impact on what Leao’s next move is. Nkunku could well satisfy Potter’s attacking needs and therefore see the West London club back down in their pursuit of Leao.
This could well be good news for Leeds, with Italian journalist Carlo Pellegati revealing [via his YouTube, 28 September], that Milan have been tracking Sinisterra and that he is valued at around £22.3million to £31.3million.
If Leao doesn’t leave the San Siro, then it would seem unlikely that they will intensely pursue the 23-year-old Colombian international. Furthermore, it would take a lot more than £31.3million to even test Leeds’ resolve when it comes to Sinisterra.

It also seems unlikely that Sinisterra would want to leave the Premier League after displaying that he is more than capable of performing at the highest level. His value and reputation will only rise more if he remains at Elland Road.
Sinisterra must hit the ground running when he returns to the side after picking up a red card in the Whites’ 0-0 draw against Aston Villa at Elland Road on Sunday [2 October].
In other Leeds United news, Chris Sutton says this Leeds man is one to watch at the World Cup for all the wrong reasons.
