Championship centre-back on Leeds shortlist as Orta targets cover - report
Leeds United are looking to add another central defender at Elland Road this summer.
The Whites have already sealed a move for Robin Koch, but Marcelo Bielsa would like another defender to help his squad depth.
Dinamo Zagreb’s Josko Gvardiol has appeared as an option, with some even going as far to say Leeds have already sealed that deal.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has reported that Gvardiol is on the shortlist alongside Swansea City’s Ben Cabango.
It is suggested on their website that Victor Orta is an admirer of the Welsh international, but has not yet made an approach to the Championship side.
Any defender that comes in would be regarded as cover, so it makes sense for Orta and Leeds to be targeting these younger names.

Cabango enjoyed a great breakthrough season under Mark Cooper at the Liberty Stadium in the last campaign.
The 20-year-old made 23 appearances for the Swans, and that resulted in his first call-up to the Wales squad from Ryan Giggs.
The defender made just under five interceptions per game according to WyScout, and also managed an impressive 11.53 recoveries.
Cooper has previously dubbed his young defender as “outstanding” after he scored in the 3-1 win over Birmingham last season.
With that sort of praise, it is clear that Swansea won’t let one of their talents leave on the cheap, but surely Orta and Leeds already know that.
