Burnley fan thinks Leeds are a far better side than Liverpool
A Burnley fan has claimed Leeds United are much better than Liverpool after watching both teams visit Turf Moor recently.
The Whites blew away Burnley last weekend with a 4-0 rout that included some fine goals from Mateusz Klich and Rodrigo.
Leeds had 16 shots against the Clarets last Saturday and barely had to get out of first gear, leaving the Burnley faithful impressed.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the supporter said, “To be honest I didn’t think it was a 3-0 game, it did flatter them [Liverpool].
“I must admit, after watching Burnley v Leeds, Leeds were a far better side.”
Aiming for Europe
As things stand there is one game left to play this season and Leeds are remarkably just three points off a Europa League place.
That is a pretty incredible return on our first season back in the top-flight and even the most positive of Leeds fans may not have expected that.
We have achieved a brilliant points total despite several injuries to key players, which saw three of our four summer signings sidelined for large spells.
The Whites have had to rely on the Championship winning squad but they have performed admirably.
However, it does make us wonder just how good we could be with a few clever additions this summer.
Qualifying for Europe has to be the aim given how close we have come this year, and West Ham and Leicester have both shown that with good management and excellent team spirit it is possible to compete with the big clubs.
