BT Sport pundit gushes over Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison in first half v Liverpool

Jim Beglin was thrilled by a Leeds United passage of play that saw Jack Harrison’s involvement nearly open the scoring against Liverpool.

The Whites go into the break down by a 2-0 scoreline as Cody Gakpo broke the deadlock and Mo Salah added another, but before that Harrison played a good pass to Brenden Aaronson who then fell to the floor and Marc Roca skied the effort.

There were subdued protests for a penalty but nothing ended up coming out of it.

Speaking on the Premier League world feed [17/04, 20:31], Beglin, a BT Sport pundit, said, “That’s a lovely bit of play there from Harrison. I don’t think that’s a penalty. Aaronson just making the most of the hand on him.”

Unacceptable

Leeds have not got out of second gear in this game and that’s fine when they’re defending a lead or staying in the game.

However, they needed to start attacking after conceding and that’s not happened at all.

Javi Gracia needs to remove the shackles for the second half and perhaps even make an attacking change or two as Leeds need game changers in the final third.

Rodrigo’s also struggled to get involved in the game and it’s important to get their most potent goal scorer in positions he can make a difference.

Alisson’s undoubtedly had a quiet game and he’s not going to be complaining about that.

Some of Leeds’ defending has also not been up to the mark and it’s been a calamity of errors that’s likely to cost them the result unless a completely different side shows up in the second half.
