Leeds United ace Brenden Aaronson flew home in a private jet with Fulham's Raul Jimenez early on Thursday (17 October), according to TUDN.

The Mexican outlet reported [16 October] that the Cottagers sent a charter plane to collect the striker for his immediate return before their Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday 19 October.

With Jimenez's Mexico side facing the USA, Aaronson was one of the multiple players jetting home with the Fulham man, returning to the UK before Leeds face Sheffield United on Friday 18 September.

The 23-year-old has become a key player under Daniel Farke this season, even despite losing the trust of many fans after leaving on loan to Union Berlin last term as Leeds were relegated from the Premier League.

He has started seven of Leeds' opening nine games of the new Championship campaign, notching two goals and one assist and occupying the attacking midfield role ahead of the in-form Joel Piroe.

With the Whites welcoming the Blades to Elland Road after the international break, Farke cannot afford for any more of his players to become unavailable following injuries to two of his key stars.

Both Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu have suffered disappointing injuries, leaving Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell as the likely midfield duo, but Dan James and Manor Solomon could be available [Beren Cross].

Three points at Elland Road this weekend could be huge for the Championship title race, with Leeds just one win behind Sunderland and Sheffield United, who sit top of the table.

Aaronson did not have the best international break, being slaughtered for his display in the USA's 2-0 defeat to Mexico, but Farke will trust him to return and be firing on all cylinders ahead of the clash.
