Beren Cross: Joe Gelhardt has done enough for another Leeds United start v Manchester City
Beren Cross has insisted that Leeds United sensation Joe Gelhardt has done enough to earn another start against Manchester City.
The Whites travel to The Etihad this evening (14th December) looking to go one better than the defeat against Chelsea.
Gelhardt became our youngest Premier League scorer since James Milner in that one, and could get a shot against the champions this evening.

Writing on his personal Twitter account and for Leeds Live, Cross shared that the major change could happen.
“Despite Chelsea’s late winner tarnishing what would have otherwise become known as Joe Gelhardt Day, the quality of that goal is not diminished.
“In the absence of Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo, Leeds United simply need a natural striker to lead the line and provide some threat around the penalty box.
“Gelhardt has the confidence, swagger, strength, work rate, movement and finishing to more than justify a chance to play against the division’s best defence.”
Cat among the pigeons?
It would be certainly deserved for Gelhardt, and it would be hard to find a single Leeds fan who wouldn’t back the decision.
The young attacker is so hardworking and he has the skill to back that up, as he highlighted with his goal at Stamford Bridge.
That was against one of the best defences in the Premier League, as he left Thiago Silva in the dust despite his years of experience over him.
City can be vulnerable defensively if you time your attacks perfectly and defend resolutely, as we did perfectly last season in both fixtures.
Pep Guardiola always has nerves on his side ahead of facing Marcelo Bielsa, and we are crossing everything for another unlikely result this evening – one that Gelhardt could be key too.
