Ben Foster ‘worried’ about Leeds United relegation chances after 2-2 draw v Brighton
Ben Foster has admitted that he is worried for Leeds United’s survival chances after their 2-2 draw with Brighton because of their fixture list.
The Whites claimed a hard-fought point, battling back from a losing position twice at Elland Road, but slipped down to 19th in the table after other results went against them.
And speaking on his “Football Fill-In” show on YouTube (13 March, 17:32), ex-Manchester United and England stopper Foster admitted that he is “worried” for the team despite the good result against the Seagulls.
“They’re the ones I’m worried about, look at their run in,” he said.
“They’ve got a horrible run in. Three of their last four games of the season, they’ve got Tottenham in there, Man City in there, away at West Ham. Some real tough ones coming up.”
Trouble
Leeds have got plenty of quality, and lots of people seem to believe that the team are too good to go down because of that.
But if the players believe that then we’re in big trouble, because currently we have the worst form in the entire Premier League with just one win in 13 games and the new manager hasn’t had the desired effect so far.

The final four games of the season look really tough with a clash against Newcastle included in the run Foster mentioned, but we also still need to play Arsenal and Liverpool as well as teams around us like Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Leicester.
Bad results in those games are all possible because our current level of performance isn’t anywhere near good enough, but it shouldn’t be ignored that we are also capable of getting good results from these games.
Time is running out and nobody can be blamed for being worried right now, but there is still points to be won and we must start doing so.
In other Leeds news, the club are set to finalise a first-team transfer this month with negotiations over a contract ongoing.
