BBC Journalist: This is what Ben White has said about future at Leeds past this season

Leeds United defender Ben White has been attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest club.

Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea have been listed as clubs who have been taking a look at the young enforcer, sparking fears over his immediate future at Elland Road.

It has already been confirmed that Brighton can not recall the 22-year-old from Leeds, who would surely want to make his move a permanent one should they earn promotion.

BBC journalist Adam Pope spoke to White after the 2-0 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday and opened up about the Brighton loanee’s future at Elland Road.

“Ben White says he wants to get to & play in the PL with Leeds and 2nd in the table means it is achievable,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.

“Wasn’t commenting on whether new faces would help. Always devastated by defeat but says the belief & ability remain in the squad.”

That will surely send Leeds fans wild at the expectation that the defender could remain at the club if they are promoted. Whether that means another loan or a permanent switch, time will tell.

Aston Villa did the same with Tyrone Mings in the summer, and if Leeds could earn promotion to the Premier League, signing White would be a perfect start to life in the top flight.
