Bayern Munich 'completely' out of race for Leeds United ace Raphinha
Bayern Munich are ‘completely’ ruled out of the race to sign Leeds United star Raphinha, according to Ronan Murphy.
The German giants offered Kingsley Coman a new deal until 2027 which means they no longer need the Brazilian forward as per L’Equipe.
This development comes as the Whites look to pen their magician to a new deal at Elland Road.
Football journalist for Goal, Murphy, took to his personal Twitter to say: “Kingsley Coman will sign a new Bayern Munich contract until 2027, according to L’Equipe.
“That will completely rule out any Raphinha move.”
This is great news for Leeds as they get to keep hold of one of their top performers for at least a little bit longer.
The end in speculation from a Bayern Munich perspective will hopefully calm things down in terms of the Brazilians departure in January.
Liverpool are another club that are reportedly interested but it is very unlikely they will make a move in January for the midfielder.
This allows the Whites to concentrate on renewing Raphinha’s deal. A new deal would add a substantial amount to the 25-year-old’s price tag.
This could be an excellent play by Leeds United, with Liverpool not willing to spend big money and the Bavarian giants seemingly out of the race, they might be able to keep hold of their magician for much longer if he signs.
For now, the Whites star can put his full focus on playing football and winning games for Leeds.
