Aston Villa coach Michael Beale reacts to sacking of Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United

Aston Villa coach Michael Beale has reacted as Leeds United sacked Marcelo Bielsa in the past 24 hours.

The Whites made the decision after heavy defeats against Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs.

Beale, who works closely with Steven Gerrard, celebrated El Loco’s time in England for all the changes he made at Elland Road.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Beale had a great deal of sympathy as the news was shared high and wide.

“It was great to have Marcelo Bielsa coaching and managing in England for the time he was here,” he said.

We’re simply still left asking how it has all come down to this.

Bielsa will take the humble road and only blame himself for the matters in the past 48 hours, but he has been let down by those above.

Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta had money to spend in January, as they attempted to bring in Brenden Aaronson.

The biggest mistake was accepting defeat there and not moving on to other targets, Bielsa’s squad was crying out for reinforcements.

Instead, it stayed the same and he was left with a squad down to its barebones and little hope to turn things around.

Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford are said to be close to returns, and they will be key to our chances of survival.

Bielsa has been let down, but that doesn’t mean he still won’t have the love of everyone in Leeds and the entire Premier League for that matter, he will be welcome back any time he likes.
