Some Leeds United fans have raved about a key second-half moment from Sunday’s win over Leicester City.

In the second half of the 3-1 win, Whites defender Liam Cooper absolutely flies into a tackle with Ayoze Perez and cleanly wins the ball while taking a fair bit of the man.

There is nothing wrong with the challenge and the referee didn’t blow for a foul with the tackle now being viewed thousands of times on social media.

It is simply perfection from Cooper and you can only imagine the noise that would’ve come from the away end if fans were present at the game.

It is what we like to call a ‘proper tackle’ and fair play to Perez for not rolling around on the ground and trying to win a freekick from a brilliant tackle.

Our captain led the way as we picked up another three points on the road and it is tackles like this that show why he is loved by so many Whites fans.

Some fans replied to the tweet to share how they felt when they saw the tackle live on Sunday.

Some claimed that it was as good as watching and celebrating a goal as it added a bit of extra spice to the game that we went on to win.

The Leeds Twitter account suggested that the legendary Norman Hunter would be proud of that tackle and several fans agreed.

We hope the late great Hunter was watching that tackle wherever he is.

Here is how many Leeds fans reacted to the tackle.
