Antonio Conte: Tottenham Hotspur without three players v Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur will be without three first-team players for their game against Leeds United on Saturday (February 26) in the Premier League.

Antonio Conte, in his pre-match press conference, confirmed that Oliver Skipp, Rodrigo Bentancur and Japhet Tangana have been ruled out.

Since his signing in January, Bentancur has played in four Premier League games for Spurs.

Conte said of him, via Football London, “Unfortunately he’s not available for tomorrow’s game. He had a problem in his ankle.

“I don’t think this is a serious problem. I hope to see him in the team very soon but for sure he’s not available tomorrow.”

Speaking about Skipp and Tangana, the Italian claimed, “I hope the medical department help me. Skipp is now one month missing. Same with Tanganga.”

Welcome news

Losing Bentancur in midfield will be a big blow for Conte and Spurs and Leeds must take full advantage of it.

They lost both Tanguy Ndombele and Giovanni Lo Celso in January and will be without Skipp and the Uruguayan for this game.

These absentees by no means will make Leeds favourites for this one, but will at least give them a fighting chance.

Bielsa and his players will be desperate to silence their critics after the embarrassment they suffered against Liverpool mid week.

Hopefully, the stars align for Leeds and they get a good result here as they’re facing a very serious threat of relegation if they don’t.
