Andrea Radrizzani meets with Paraag Marathe to discuss Leeds United

Leeds United have strengthened their bond with the 49ers Enterprise over the past couple of weeks with new investment.

The American group took their stake up to 44% at Elland Road with a fresh cash injection to Andrea Radrizzani.

The Italian remains a majority stakeholder but has made it no secret that he needs funds from elsewhere on top of that.

Radrizzani has been busy over the weekend, and it looks as though Marathe was also involved in that with a small meeting.

The Leeds owner has shared an image on his personal Twitter account of the two, with him even wearing a club shirt for the meet.

“With my buddy discussing football and football,” he wrote.

Future plans?

This is a very exciting partnership and one that obviously has huge plans for the future at Elland Road.

The 49ers are clearly going to become majority stakeholders at the club given their sharp rise in funding the Whites, but it looks as though Radrizzani would be more than welcomed to stay involved.

Marathe has made it no secret that his plans are huge, with the redevelopment of Elland Road, the training ground and plans for European football also shared.

Could they be discussing more investment? Potential new transfers? Or maybe even American Football being played in West Yorkshire?

These are all real possibilities, and who would have thought that exciting propositions such as these could have been on the table more than five years ago under Massimo Cellino – we’d simply all be laughing.

It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Leeds fan.
