Leeds United are set for sponsorship and merchandising boosts after what Andrea Radrizzani was pictured doing recently.

That’s according to Dr Dan Plumley, who claims that his involvement with the San Francisco 49ers opens the door for a number of financial deals in the future.

The Leeds owner was pictured with Paraag Marathe, who is the chief at the Elland Road outfit as well as the NFL franchise 49ers.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News about this opening the door for major sponsorship and merchandising deals in the future, Dr Dan, the Sheffield Hallam University expert, said:

“Yes [collaboration could be on the cards]. There is the potential to do a deal there.

“It works for all parties, doesn’t it? The investment in the club already and the ability to push their brand there.

“There’s certainly an opportunity to do something there.”

49ers Enterprises recently increased their stake in Leeds United after buying 17 per cent of the club back in 2018.

Radrizzani’s Aser Ventures group, who bought into Leeds in January 2017 before buying 100 per cent of the club in that summer, continue to remain the majority owners.
