Alan Shearer names Crystal Palace duo in Team of the Week after Leeds United clash
Alan Shearer has named Crystal Palace duo Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze in his Team of the Week for their performance v Leeds United.
Palace ran out 5-1 winners at Elland Road on Sunday, 9 April, in what was a game of two halves and Javi Gracia will have been disappointed with how his side folded.
Olise and Eze had a field day against the Leeds players and the former even had a hat-trick of assists en route to a convincing victory for them.
Speaking about Olise, Shearer told the Premier League website, “Leeds simply could not handle him as he produced a sensational hat-trick of assists and stepped up in the absence of Wilfried Zaha.”
He then discussed Eze, saying, “It was his set-piece that helped Palace equalise, and he started and finished the move for their wonderful third goal.”

This has to be Gracia’s worst performance in charge of Leeds and it was that by a distance.
In the first half, it was everything going as per plan and that’s relatively what the crowd at Elland Road would’ve expected.
However, nobody saw that disastrous second half display for which everyone needs to take the blame – the managers as well as the players.
To not be able to pick yourselves up in a relegation dog fight against a side that’s struggled recently says a lot about their willingness to leave it out on the pitch for their side.
It’s got to be an intense week of training for the Whites and Gracia needs to run his players to the ground and make it loud and clear that such performances are unacceptable.
They still have a chance of staying up and are not in the drop zone yet so all is good in terms of that but three wins is the bare minimum required.
