Alan Nixon: Lewis O’Brien ‘very near’ to top of Leeds shortlist
Leeds United have been linked with a shock move for Huddersfield midfielder Lewis O’Brien this summer.
The Sun journalist shared the news on Sunday and has delivered another update when responding to a fan.
After being asked if the Whites had made an official offer, he insisted that O’Brien is just very close to the top of the shortlist.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon, Nixon shared the transfer update that will intrigue Leeds fans.
“Very near top of list,” he wrote.
So, it appears as though no official bid has been placed, but it could come very soon if this is to be believed.
Victor Orta has a shortlist longer than the season-ticket list at Elland Road, and this could just be another name to throw away.

Close.
We have close links to Huddersfield, not just in geographical senses, with Carlos Corberan at the helm in West Yorkshire.
Would the former under-23s coach allow one of his better players to go for cheap because of that? Most likely not.
The Spaniard may be readying for that to happen though, and it would surely be a move too good to turn down for O’Brien.
Corberan clearly loves O’Brien, describing him as a player who has “amazing skills” during his time at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Whites will be looking for more legs in midfield, and the young mainstay at Huddersfield could be a great option to have.
Although not a priority signing yet, he could very quickly become just that – this is one to watch.
