Alan McInally: Leeds clash v Norwich is absolutely huge

Alan McInally has insisted that all eyes will be on the future of Marcelo Bielsa should Leeds United lose against Norwich.

The Whites travel to Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, knowing it is a must-win clash after a slow start.

McInally believes that the game is “absolutely huge” for both sides, although Leeds and Bielsa are certainly under pressure.

Speaking on the Group Chat for Betfair this week, McInally also insisted that this form continuing could spark January business.

“I think missing Bamford is a problem,” he said.

“Having said that, you expect that they should have a little bit more Leeds, what they did, they didn’t just reply on Patrick Bamford. But, conceding goals this season has not been good.

“The game this Sunday is absolutely huge. If they don’t go to Norwich and get a result, then I genuinely think there’s a problem and they’ll have to be hugely more active in the market in January than they were in the previous January.

“No one is speaking about Bielsa, but he’s got to start getting results.”

Despite this loss of form at the start of the Premier League season, no-one has started calling for the head of Bielsa yet.

The truth is that the Whites would nowhere near this position should El Loco not have arrived at the club, and there is real hope that he will be able to turn things around.

Patrick Bamford may be out yet again this Sunday, but with the likes of Raphinha available, the squad is more than strong enough.

All of this relegation talk is simply frustrating and with a couple of wins in the next month, that should slowly disappear.

We are starting to welcome back our injured players, and that will be critical in turning things around – starting this Sunday.

In other Leeds United news, Sky Sports have hinted if Raphinha will be out for the long-term with his injury problem
