Alan Brazil accuses Leeds United star Raphinha of selfishness
Alan Brazil is not overly enamoured with Leeds United star Raphinha, suggesting the 24-year-old shows traits of selfishness.
Speaking to Gabby Agbonlahor and Ray Parlour on talkSPORT [27/10/21], Brazil questioned public perception over the Brazilian winger.
“Let me ask you both about Raphinha,” he said. “The jury’s out with me. He’s a good player but I think people go a little over the top.

“People are talking about him being a world-beater.
“Sometimes I’ve seen him in great positions and his final ball I’m like ‘oh come on, look up’. He’s very much an individualist for me.”

Seriously?
Raphinha recorded nine assists for Leeds in the Premier League last season, highlighting his willingness to hand the ball to his teammates in order for the team to thrive.
He has yet to register an assist this season, but that is probably more down to the profligacy of others, and Patrick Bamford’s recent injury.
To suggest he plays for himself and not others is, well, bizarre, to say the least.
Furthermore, despite Leeds’ poor form this season that sees them sit 17th after nine games, Raphinha has still shown himself as one of the best performers in the Premier League.
His ability to drive with the ball at pace, beating defenders at will, has drawn admiring glances from many, even rival supporters.
Certainly, Leeds fans have no issues with his performances or behaviour.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are in pursuit of this ex-Premier League midfielder with 14 goal contributions so far this campaign.
