Agreement confirmed as Leeds United set to sign Weston McKennie
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed a deal has been agreed for the transfer of Weston McKennie, with Leeds United his likely destination.
The Whites are 1-0 up against Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup fourth round, and during the match, the news from TuttoMercatoWeb (28 January) broke out that McKennie’s farewell to Leeds is imminent.
Juventus will play Monza in their next game, and Allegri has confirmed that the 24-year-old will not feature.

“McKennie absolutely won’t be in the match. The deal is [agreed] already. There will be no reinforcements on the market,” said Allegri, as quoted by TMW.
Wow
It feels like Leeds have secured the deal for McKennie.
At the moment, it is not clear whether the Whites will sign the midfielder on loan or on a permanent deal, but one thing is pretty clear, he is heading to Elland Road.
The USA international will become the third major signing for the club this month, following the arrivals of Max Wober and Georginio Rutter.

The Whites ideally could have avoided signing a new midfielder this month, as it was not their priority. However, after Mateusz Klich left the club to join DC United in the MLS, the club decided that they would go after a new midfielder.
It seems like the Whites will hold further talks to complete the finer details of the deal for McKennie, but it appears that they have won the race for his signature,
The player has already agreed to join the Whites, and the move should be completed in the next few days.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites appear to be on the cusp of another January signing as a player’s agent jets into the United Kingdom to conduct final transfer talks.
