Adidas drop one part of Leeds United 2023/24 kit after leaked details

Adidas may have dropped one part of the Leeds United home kit for the 2023/24 season after an image was leaked by Footy Headlines.

The White strip is set to be mostly clean with three lines and a subtle tonal graphic added to the strip, similar to the Swedish away kit on the international stage.

However, the report by Footy Headlines (16 March) does state the colour of the crest has yet to be confirmed, with the darker tones used currently set to revert back to the traditional.

Clean

This looks like a relatively clean kit and a bit of a throwback.

Modern football kits have potentially been made far too complicated, so it’s good to see a simpler design employed. Adidas and Nike can be criticised for their basic template kits and there could be a concern this jersey could fall along those lines.

Nevertheless, it’s something slightly different and that’s all fans ask for year after year. It’s a good commercial opportunity for the board and getting it right is important. Modern-day football is so much more than 22 players chasing the ball around.

The biggest clubs in the world are huge global brands and the majority of their revenue is generated abroad.

If and when the 49ers take over, it’s essential for the enterprise to make Leeds a powerful global brand. Who knows, this leaked kit could significantly change when they eventually take control at Elland Road.

In other Leeds United news, the club are set to finalise a first-team transfer this month with negotiations over a contract ongoing.
