‘Absolute disgrace’ – Adrian Durham claims Leeds insulted Crawley by playing 34y/o in FA Cup
Adrian Durham has claimed that Leeds United insulted Crawley Town by selecting Kiko Casilla in their FA Cup third-round clash.
The talkSPORT host believes that the Spaniard wasn’t deserved of his spot, and Marcelo Bielsa made an “incredible series of errors.”
Durham took it one step further though and even suggested that Bielsa should offer Andrea Radrizzani his resignation at Elland Road.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Durham claimed that it was an “absolute disgrace” for the Whites to crash out against League Two opposition.
“I thought it was an absolute disgrace from a Leeds point of view,” he said.
“I thought it was an incredible series of errors from Bielsa. I always say, if you take a beating, a manager should offer to resign, Bielsa should offer to resign.
“Why he played Casilla, I don’t know, that to me is insulting Crawley – he’s played two games since last February.”
For once, we actually agree with Durham on the Casilla point.
There was no chance that the 34-year-old should have been playing against Crawley, nor should he have ever played for the club again after his racism charges last season.
It’s not as though Meslier is running miles every single game, and he would have been fit enough and determined to start once again for the club on Sunday.
As for the Bielsa claim? Total nonsense.
Yes, he may have got it wrong against Crawley, but there would be no chance that any Whites fans on the planet would want Bielsa to resign, that is stupidity of the highest level.
