Leeds United travel to Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon looking to put their draw right against Blackburn Rovers.
The Whites saw their three-point lead to West Brom cut to one point on Wednesday evening, and Brentford keep on chipping away behind the automatic promotion spots.
Blackburn haven’t been in best of form, coming into the game on the back of a thrashing by Barnsley, a game in which Sam Gallagher was sent off.
Former Leeds midfielder Bradley Johnson has commented on what he expects from Marcelo Bielsa’s men, who are looking to seal promotion early this time around.
Johnson also claims that promotion to the Premier League is almost in the bag for his old club.
“Two teams going at it, who want to win the game,” he told LUTV.
“Two teams who have got a lot to play for. Leeds want to get promoted, top of the league, it’s hard getting there and they’re nearly there – nearly across that line.
“For ourselves, we’re only five points outside of the playoffs and I’ve been involved in many play-offs in my career. Two teams who want to win.”
Everything goes out of the window with the form table with the games behind-closed-doors. That was proved on Tuesday, everyone will have backed Leeds to beat Luton, but they laboured to a 1-1 draw instead.
Leeds could make a number of changes for the game at Ewood Park, with Kalvin Phillips confirming that Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper yet to train since Tuesday’s game.
Bielsa’s men could wipe the floor with Rovers if they play as they did against Barnsley, only managing five shots on target despite keeping more of the ball according to WhoScored.
A lot of those shots came from the edge of the box, and if Leeds can keep Blackburn from releasing the likes of Adam Armstrong in-behind, they could frustrate their opponents.
