Willy Gnonto £25m Leeds United news emerges amid Manchester City and Arsenal interest
Leeds United value Willy Gnonto in the region of £25million as Manchester City and Arsenal monitor the attacker’s situation, according to Swiss newspaper, Blick.
Italian news outlet, Calciomercato, reported on 30 May that the Premier League heavyweights are monitoring the Italian’s situation.
Blick now claim on Thursday 1 June that Gnonto could be available for £25million. It’s understood FC Zurich have a number of “contractual clauses” inserted into the agreement with Leeds, which could see the Swiss side land a large cash windfall.
Tough task
It’s going to be an extremely tough task to keep hold of Gnotno during the summer window. He’s one of the club’s biggest assets and is undoubtedly going to attract attention from elsewhere. Furthermore, the financial situation at Elland Road is unclear.
Andrea Radrizzani’s latest antics have cast doubt over the club’s summer business. The longer the uncertainty at Elland Road, the more it’s going to impact Leeds’ chances of bouncing straight back into the Premier League.

If Gnonto does stay put, he could be one of the Championship’s best players.
His direct running and pace would be far too much for the average second-tier full-back. It’s now up to Radrizzani and the board to make their intentions clear. Either sell to the 49ers or make a decision on the new manager and back him significantly throughout the summer.
The Italian businessman has to act quickly if he wants to avoid alienating the majority of the fan base.
In other Leeds United news, the future of one Whites-linked manager is now up in the air after a high-level resignation at his current club.
