‘Way out of his depth’, ‘Scares me’ – Many Leeds fans destroy player in 1-0 win v Everton

Leeds United returned to winning ways on Saturday in their Premier League clash against Everton.

It was an end-to-end clash with both sides missing numerous clear cut chances at Goodison Park in Merseyside, but it was the Whites who won.

Raphinha opened the scoring with his first goal for the club, smashing home from distance to give Leeds the three points.

Illan Meslier did have to save the Whites plenty of times, though.

Liam Cooper and Robin Kock were solid for the majority of the game but did make some mistakes that could have cost Leeds.

The Scottish international was nearly left red-faced in the opening minutes of the game, leaving an easy interception and Abdoulaye Doucoure nearly smashed home.

He improved as the game went on, but the skipper was often caught out by Dominic Calvert-Lewin breaking into space behind.

Many Leeds fans have reacted to the performance of Cooper, and they weren’t happy with the skipper for his display in Merseyside.

The majority have suggested that he is too far out of his depth in the Premier League, which seems to be a little harsh.
