'Toothless' – Vinnie Jones predicts easy winner in Leeds v Arsenal clash

Vinnie Jones has said that he’s “confident Leeds United can turn Arsenal over” in the Premier League clash at Elland Road on Sunday.

Jones said that Arsenal have been “toothless” and were “rumbled” by Aston Villa last time out.

Villa won 3-0 in a shock result at the Emirates ahead of the international break.

Writing in his column for EasyOdds Jones said, “I’m confident that Leeds can turn Arsenal over.

“The Gunners have been quite toothless of late and got rumbled by Villa.

“No doubt Arteta banged a few heads together after that game, but Leeds at home will do for me. That Palace game was a write-off – and not all their fault.”

Double blow for Arsenal

Arsenal have been “toothless” this season as Mikel Arteta focuses on a more defence-minded approach to the game.

That didn’t work against Aston Villa and we’re not sure it’s going to work against Leeds if Arteta is without Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey.

The two defensive midfield lynchpins could both be out. Elneny definitely misses out after a positive Covid-19 test from the Egypt camp, where Liverpool’s Salah also tested positive.

Partey was withdrawn at half-time in the game against Aston Villa and Arsenal fell apart after that, going on to lose the game 3-0.

Meanwhile, Leeds got a boost on Tuesday with the news that Rodrigo is back in training after missing the last two games with a positive Covid-19 test of his own.

That puts the momentum in the Leeds camp for us and we’re happy to go along with Jones’ prediction.
