Tim Sherwood delivers Leeds United relegation verdict ahead of Liverpool Premier League clash
Tim Sherwood believes that it’s important for Leeds United to beat Liverpool if they want to stay in the Premier League next season.
The Whites play host to the Reds at Elland Road on Monday, 17 April, with the visitors looking to qualify for the top four.
They’re in eighth place and five points behind Brighton so they will be going all out for the three points against Javi Gracia’s side.

Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Wrap [17/04, 22:25], “Leeds need to win tomorrow night. It’s Liverpool. But a win is going to be important for them to stay up.”
Not realistic
Leeds would surely love to win against Liverpool but it’s not going to be the be all and end all for their quest to avoid relegation.
Even while planning the fixture list, this is a game that they would predict getting zero points from so even a draw will be a bonus.
Liverpool have been highly flaky this season and have dropped points to a number of sides in the bottom half of the table.

A good start for Leeds is going to make things all the more difficult for the Reds and they’ve already struggled in the reverse fixture at Anfield.
If the Whites can stay in the game right until the end as they did in their last meeting, they have every chance of getting something from it.
It’s going to be interesting to see what lineup Gracia goes with as it’s important he gets his team selection spot on for this one.
