‘There’s no doubt…’ – Danny Murphy makes big claim about Leeds and rival fans in PL

talkSPORT pundit Danny Murphy has said that there “won’t be a single empty seat at Elland Road” if Leeds United get promoted and fans are allowed back into stadiums.

Murphy added that Elland Road is “always rocking” and that rival fans want to see Leeds back in the Premier League and Marcelo Bielsa take on other master managers like Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.

“I really like them,” Murphy said on the White & Sawyer Show (talkSPORT, Monday, midday).

“On a personal basis, I loved the games at Elland Road. It was always full, always rocking. There’s no doubt when the fans are allowed back in there won’t be a single empty seat at Elland Road.

“And Bielsa. He’s got a uniqueness and people want to see him go up against Klopp and Guardiola.

“I’d like to see Leeds and Fulham go up but I don’t think that’s going to happen anymore.

“But if Leeds don’t do it this time they’re going to have real problems next season.”

Leeds fans are hurting at not being able to get into Elland Road for the promotion run-in.

The stadium would have been full to the rafters and rocking on Saturday when Fulham visited and the atmosphere when the second and third goals went in would have been amazing.

However, Elland Road would have been full to the rafters and rocking for the game against struggling Luton on Tuesday night, too.

Elland Road is a sell-out whoever comes and if Leeds do get promoted it’s going to be even harder to get a ticket.

There’s a plan to expand Elland Road to a 50,000-seater stadium if the side is promoted and that is a mouth-watering prospect.

It’s loud enough as it is – imagine what the atmosphere would be like with 50,000 supporters inside.
