Super Computer predicts if Leeds United will get relegated after win over Watford

Leeds United are predicted to avoid relegation from the Premier League after their resounding 3-0 win over Watford on Saturday (April 9).

Raphinha, Rodrigo and Jack Harrison grabbed the goals as the Whites beat their relegation rivals in a crucial six pointer.

With the win, they are now nine points clear of the drop zone but 18th place Burnley still have three games in hand over them.

After the win, FiveThirtyEight crunched the numbers of their Super Computer to predict this relegation battle.

They see Leeds comfortably finishing with 38 points and three clear of Burnley who are expected to get relegated in 18th place.

Much like the Whites, Everton, Newcastle and Brentford are predicted to avoid the drop.

Huge win

This was a must win for Leeds as it would mean that they have one foot in the Premier League next season.

Had Watford won it, suddenly the relegation dynamic would have a completely different look to it.

Leeds United

Now, Jesse Marsch’s men can breathe easy and know that another win too, may be enough for them to stay up.

Although, they must not take it for granted as teams manage to find form towards the back end of the season.

Burnley, for example, are known to be a team that fails to give up, and Sean Dyche is going to drill them week in and week out to deliver the results.

Interesting times await in this relegation battle.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
