Super Computer makes new Leeds United relegation prediction after defeat at Arsenal

Leeds United are now favourites to be relegated along with Watford and Norwich, according to a Super Computer.

FiveThirtyEight have crunched the numbers and now say that after Leeds’ loss at Arsenal on Sunday (8 May), the Whites have a huge 51 per cent chance of going down to the Championship.

Leeds dropped into 18th place on Sunday as they were beaten 2-0 at the Emirates while Everton grabbed their second away win of the Premier League season at Leicester.

Burnley lost to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Going down

Leeds have it all to do in their final three games.

Based on Everton’s form, their remaining fixtures and their game in hand, you would imagine that they should be safe now.

According to this Super Computer, there’s only a nine per cent chance of the Toffees being relegated from the Premier League now.

And we agree that it’s looking like a straight shoot out between Leeds and Burnley to avoid dropping into the Championship.

Burnley have three games to play: Tottenham away, Aston Villa away and Newcastle United at home.

Leeds also have three matches left: Chelsea at home, Brighton at home and Brentford away.

It’s hard to say who have the easiest fixtures, but we think Leeds’ final three is marginally better as Burnley have to play a Spurs side who are gunning for fourth place.

Still, our goal difference is woeful and injuries and suspensions are stacking up to a point where Jesse Marsch is struggling to piece together a decent team.
