Sky Sports pundit slams 'careless' Rodrigo in first half of Leeds United clash v Norwich City
Sky Sports pundit Efan Ekoku dubbed Rodrigo “sloppy and careless” after the Leeds United forward was booked in the first half at Norwich on Sunday.
Rodrigo, 30, went into the referee’s book in the 32nd minute after a clumsy challenge on Mathias Normann.
It was a turgid first half for the Whites and Rodrigo’s booking is likely to have been a result of frustration.
“Sometimes it’s just a question of how much time has elapsed and I think he’s been a bit sloppy and careless with the challenge,” said Ekoku on Sky Sports Premier League in the first half after Rodrigo was booked.
“That was no worse than the challenge by Diego Llorete on [Teemu] Pukki, I think it was, about 15 or so minutes ago.”

Norwich are quite literally the worst team in the Premier League.
They’re winless, bottom of the table and lost 7-0 to Chelsea last time out.
Leeds, worryingly, haven’t been much better.
Going forward, we look slow and really easy to work out while in the midfield, Norwich are clearly playing better and Normann is causing several issues.
At the back, there have been some iffy moments but if we were playing against any better team, we’d probably be behind or look in way more trouble than we currently do.
There’s still a good chance we’ll get a result at Carrow Road but Leeds’ players are making hard work of it.
Marcelo Bielsa might want to make changes as soon as possible because this simply isn’t working.
Joe Gelhardt, anyone?
