'Please stop', 'Absolute joke' – Some Leeds fans react to EFL tweet ahead of clash v Swansea

There’s been a lot said about Leeds United having to play last in every round of fixtures in the promotion race.

And some Leeds fans are still not happy with the EFL and showed their displeasure after it sent out a tweet following the Saturday fixtures. One said it was an “absolute joke”.

The EFL post showed the league table and simply said, “Over to you @LUFC” and added an emoji of eyes.

However, playing last is only bad when everyone wins. That’s been happening up until now but West Brom blinked on Saturday and that gives Leeds a real opportunity.

Ahead of the Swansea game, we’re on top on goal difference. A win would take us three points clear of West Brom with a superior goal difference.

One Leeds fan went against the grain and said, “I think it’s a good thing that Leeds have to play after all the others. They will know that they can’t slip up and will be up for it even more.”

Another responded with the brilliant gif of Luke Ayling telling Hull, “We’re up here, you’re down there.”

Every Leeds fan knows how big the game is today. And the nerves are starting to kick in with one telling the EFL, “Please stop”.

There was positivity, too, though – one fan predicted a 4-0 smashing for Swansea.

If that happens, we’ll be one step closer to not having to respond to messages from the EFL again.
