Phil Hay shares if Leeds United v Manchester United could be postponed

Phil Hay does not see Leeds United v Manchester United getting postponed despite the adverse weather conditions in the UK.

The age old rivals are set to play in a packed Elland Road for the first time since 2003.

Leeds will be looking to get an unlikely win over their adversaries from Manchester and it would be sweeter if it takes place in front of their home fans.

Discussing the possible postponement on Athletic’s Q&A, Hay said, “Nothing to suggest that,” in response to a question about the game.

Game on

Despite their injuries, Leeds will not want this game postponed against Manchester United.

They have trained all week for this big game and those who know what this rivalry means, would’ve worked twice as hard.

It’s not been a good season by any stretch of the imagination but a win over Man United would make amends for a lot of low points over the last few months.

It goes without saying that Elland Road is set to be buzzing for this one and it’s going to be deafening once the referee blows his whistle.

Junior Firpo is likely to return to the team while Stuart Dallas also could feature either at full-back or in midfield.

Dan James will certainly have a point to prove against his former side who unceremoniously parted ways with him on deadline day in the summer.
