Patrick Bamford ‘furious’ with Leeds United teammate Brenden Aaronson a week after Rodrigo was also ‘absolutely livid’ – BBC reporter
Brenden Aaronson appears to be making a habit of upsetting his Leeds United teammates after Patrick Bamford was “furious” with him at Wolves, according to BBC Leeds man Jonny Buchan.
The American has struggled for form since a strong start to life at Elland Road and continued to frustrate in the 4-2 victory at Molineux on Saturday (18 March) by not playing the right pass, just seven days after Buchan’s colleague Adam Pope saw him make Rodrigo “absolutely livid” against Brighton.
Bamford himself is no stranger to disharmony with his teammates of late, as he has been variously spotted in spats with Tyler Adams and Max Wober in recent weeks, and now Aaronson appears to have joined his list of offenders who aren’t supplying him properly.

Buchan said on Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet for BBC Sport (21 March, 5m 28s) of the American: “He just makes the wrong decision at times for me in the key moment, and I think Patrick Bamford would agree with that if he was listening, Hi Patrick.
“Because at one point he had a real go at Aaronson didn’t he? When he just didn’t feed the ball through, all he had to do was just slot it through between the full-back and the centre-half.
“And Aaronson didn’t see that, tried to do something different, and Patrick Bamford was furious, rightly, about that.”
Pope then added: “Yeah, and I think there was an option of [Junior] Firpo as well to the left.”
High standards
While results are coming these apparently elevated levels of anger in the Leeds United squad have to be interpreted as a positive, as the players are pulling each other up on their failings.
It shows there is something to fight for if it is happening while the Whites are also scoring plenty of goals and bringing in points.
The problems finding the net under Javi Gracia are well and truly in the rear-view mirror now after six in the past two Premier League games against Wolves and Brighton, with four crucial points brought in.

Bamford and Rodrigo have both scored in that time, with the latter’s causing even more rage from Molineux boss Julen Lopetegui and his bench in stoppage time at the weekend.
Aaronson, 22, has started all four league games under the new manager but appears to be short of his best still as he has registered neither a goal or assist and as now infuriated teammates in back-to-back weeks.
But the frustration does suggest that he isn’t too far off and if he could make the most of the positions he finds himself in the returns for the team could be even better.
The summer signing from Red Bull Salzburg hasn’t been involved in a goal since before the World Cup, when he assisted in the 4-3 defeat at Tottenham on 12 November.
It has been an indifferent campaign overall after a much-heralded arrival, and he has perhaps been lucky to keep his place in the starting XI over the likes of Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville recently.
The same could have been said of Jack Harrison for some weeks but he Englishman has responded with two goals and an assist over the past two outings, so Aaronson could do a lot worse than following his lead right now.
