Noah Okafor did something not seen in Premier League since Wilfried Zaha in Leeds win vs Wolves
Noah Okafor impressed for Leeds at Molineux.
Leeds secured a statement 3-1 victory over Wolves, who are still looking for their first point of the Premier League campaign after five straight defeats.
Anton Stach’s free-kick was the moment of the game for Leeds, just minutes before Okafor added a third to make sure that the Whites returned to Elland Road with all three points and their first away win of the season.
However, aside from his goal in the first half, Okafor also did something for the first time in six years, with Wilfried Zaha the last player to have achieved it.

Noah Okafor attempted 12 dribbles in first half vs Wolves
Aside from the injury concern to Okafor, Leeds will take plenty of heart from his day at Molineux, for more reasons than just his goal.
He was constantly looking for the ball and remained a threat throughout the clash.
However, the Swiss international attempted 12 dribbles in the first of the clash at Molineux, a number which has hasnt been matched since Zaha attempted 13 for Crystal Palace in 2019.
Okafor vs Wolves
- 14 dribbles attempted
- One goal from 0.15xG
- Eight ground duels won
The nature of being a winger means that many of those resulted in a loss of possession, but it is very promising to see confidence in his game after what has been a rocky start to life in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke will be hoping that his injury concern isn’t anything of note, and that he is fit and raring to go again next weekend.
Leeds will be aware of Noah Okafor frustrations
Out of everyone on the pitch, it is often the wingers that fans look towards for a moment of brilliance or a move to get them off their seats.
Okafor provided several of them against Wolves, but was guilty of losing the ball on a few too many occasions.
However, for a player of his ilk, that is to be expected, and it’s crucial that people are aware of that being a consequence of having a direct, tricky winger.
He will provide more good than bad, but it is going to be essential that Farke plays him week-in and week-out for him to reach his full potential with Leeds.
With that said, the early signs are very, very promising.
