Leeds United are back in action on Sunday after what’s felt like one of the longest international breaks in history.
Maybe it’s because Leeds came into the break on the back of two 4-1 defeats. Maybe it’s because each international game brings with it the threat of injury and positive Covid-19 tests.
What we do know is that we’re delighted that club football is almost back and Leeds fans have a corker to look forward to as they welcome Arsenal to Elland Road on Sunday.
Fans will remember the fantastic FA Cup tie back in January when Leeds absolutely dominated the first 45 minutes at the Emirates.
Hopefully, Leeds can do it for 90 minutes at Elland Road and get their Premier League season back on track with a win over Mikel Arteta’s side.
The good news for Leeds is that we’re expecting Rodrigo and Kalvin Phillips to be back from Covid-19 and injury respectively.
Both players should come straight back into the starting XI. 21-year-old Pascal Struijk and Gjanni Alioski (suffering from a hamstring issue) will drop out.
We also expect Bielsa to make another change, with the exciting 23-year-old winger Raphinha getting his first Premier League start.
Raphinha has looked electric when he’s come on as a sub and Helder Costa hasn’t been at it since the first games of the season.
It’s time for a change and we really want to see what Raphinha can do from the start.
This is the starting XI we expect Bielsa to put out on Sunday…
