MOT View: Bielsa must rip up his own rulebook v Huddersfield as promotion beckons
Marcelo Bielsa took Leeds United to within a whisker of the Premier League last season.
Losing out in the play-offs after being in the top two for most of the season was a bitter blow but Bielsa decided to stick around for a second crack at the ultimate prize.
It’s a case of so far, so good, this season, although Leeds are far from clear of the chasing pack in second.
Bielsa has a set way of working and its occasionally frustrated otherwise loyal Leeds fans.
He likes to stick with the same group of players and he likes to play a certain way.

Leeds are on a run of four games in a row at the moment so this might seem like a very odd time to be calling for change.
But against Hull, Tyler Roberts showed what can happen when you’ve got a striker who can finish chances.
Patrick Bamford blanked again and that means he’s scored in just one game in the last 12 he’s played in.
Roberts might not be the long-term answer for Leeds but he deserves his shot after scoring two off the bench on Saturday.

Roberts has struggled with injuries since he arrived from West Brom but he looked fit, hungry and he’s obviously got his shooting boots on.
He took the ball off Stuart Dallas’ feet for his first and that showed confidence as well.
That’s what Leeds need up front at the moment. Huddersfield are very beatable but prior to Roberts coming good, Leeds had won three in a row, all 1-0s.
They dominated Middlesbrough but nearly dropped two points as Jonathan Woodgate’s side hit the woodwork in the second half.
We need goals, we need them now and we think Roberts is the man to supply them.
It’s time for Bielsa to rip up his own rulebook and give Bamford a rest.
