Michael Owen predicts scoreline in Leeds United clash v Tottenham Hotspur
Michael Owen has predicted a shock victory for Leeds United in their game against Tottenham Hotspur later today (February 26).
Despite the Whites losing 6-0 against Liverpool on Wednesday, the former Ballon d’Or winner backs them to upset Spurs at Elland Road.
The North London side are themselves looking to turn the tide after losing 1-0 against Burnley.

Owen predicted a 2-1 win for Leeds and told BetVictor, “It’s been a tough few weeks for Leeds, and the 6-0 defeat to Liverpool feels like they’ve hit rock bottom. The pressure is really on them now, particularly with the struggles they’ve had at the back.
The defeat to Burnley in mid-week has really heightened the pressure on Spurs. Four defeats out of five is shocking form, and Conte is clearly not happy. That result against Man City is looking like a freak result.
This game could define the rest of the season for these two. As bad as Leeds have been, I still think the desire and mood around the squad will be good, I’m not sure the same can be said about Spurs. I’m going for 2-1 Leeds.”
Will take that
Not that Owen is usually spot on with his predictions but no Leeds fan wouldn’t take that.
Few expect the Whites to even get a point, let alone a win from this one so an upset is highly unlikely.

However, in the Premier League, we’ve seen stranger things happen in the past and who is to say that it can’t again?
It goes without saying that the crowd in attendance will completely be behind the players.
They will create an atmosphere akin to one seen against Manchester United and will give the squad a boost before kick off.
