Michael Owen predicts ‘Awful’ Leeds United relegation run in

Michael Owen believes that Leeds United have an awful set of fixtures going into the business end of the season.

The Whites are set to take on Crystal Palace later today after which their next three games are against sides in the top four.

They will have to navigate the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal before the final two weeks of the campaign.

Leeds United

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Owen said, “Maybe two wins, two draws and two defeats will be enough. I think that Everton can do it [stay up], based on that performance [v Liverpool].

“Leeds could get dragged into it. They’ve got an awful (run), if they don’t get something against Crystal Palace, I can’t see them getting much in the three games after and then they’re gonna need four points from the last two games.”

Need a win

Leeds cannot treat the Palace clash as just another win.

Burnley have started picking up points suddenly after the sacking of Sean Dyche.

Everton may be doing horribly but they’ve got quality in their squad to turn things around.

Leeds United

The next three games are awful for Leeds after Palace so that’s the game they have to prioritise winning.

They cannot afford to leave things until the final two gameweeks of the season.

Even though Brighton and Brentford will have nothing to play for, it’ll still be tough for them to beat either of the two sides and it remains to be seen how it transpires.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are leading the race to complete a major signing and have already opened talks to seal a £25m deal.
