Martin Keown gushes over Jack Harrison after moment of magic for Leeds United v Accrington Stanley
Martin Keown was left gushing over Jack Harrison’s “arrow” of a strike that opened the scoring for Leeds United in their FA Cup fourth-round win against Accrington Stanley.
The Whites started the game off sluggishly against their lower-league opposition despite Jesse Marsch fielding a strong team until the 26-year-old let fly from distance.
Coming onto the ball from 25 yards out, Harrison struck a piledriver of a shot which slammed into the bottom right corner of the Accrington net beyond Toby Savin.

Commentating on BBC One (Saturday 28 January, 12:54pm), pundit Keown was watching on in awe after Harrison’s moment of magic.
“Wow. Touch of class there. Real quality in the strike,” he said.
“Harrison just stays away from the defender and comes onto it beautifully. He hits it like an arrow, and that’s impressive from that sort of distance.
“Nice calm, composed build up and the finish to match.”

Stunning strike
Harrison has looked like a man rejuvenated since the World Cup break and has obviously spent a lot of time working on his individual game after a poor start to the season.
The winger is undoubtedly a brilliant player when at his best, and moments of quality such as this, highlight what a player the Whites have on their hands.
Although a number of Premier League have been linked with a move for the attacker this month, this will be further confirmation for Marsch that it would be a. foolish move to let him leave – no matter the price.
The Whites were pretty lethargic and sloppy in the opening exchanges of the FA Cup encounter, and Harrison’s goal was the moment that sparked them into life. The former Manchester City player was interestingly played in a more central position, almost at the tip of Leeds’ midfielder and was able to drift into pockets of space at will.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites appear to be on the cusp of another January signing as a player’s agent jets into the United Kingdom to conduct final transfer talks.
