Many Leeds fans react to Pascal Struijk performance in senior debut v Hull

Pascal Struijk made his senior debut for Leeds United on Tuesday night as they won 2-0 against Hull City at Elland Road.

Struijk, 20, came off the bench in stoppage time to help Leeds seal all three points and return to the top of the Championship table ahead of West Bromโ€™s match against Wigan on Wednesday.

The Netherlands youth international joined Leeds in January 2018 from Ajax but has had to make do with Under-23s football before he was handed his senior club debut by Marcelo Bielsa against Hull.

Although he was only on the pitch for a matter of minutes after replacing Helder Costa to add some more defensive muscle to the team, Struijk definitely impressed those who watched on at Elland Road.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

Struijk, according to transfermarkt, is 6ft 3in tall so he is bound to be someone who dominates in the air whenever he is playing against shorter forwards.

After coming off the bench on Tuesday night, the Dutch youngster did not have the chance to win an aerial duel but he did complete the one tackle he attempted. In comparison, Gaetano Berardi did not complete a single tackle in the whole 90 minutes [WhoScored].
