Manor Solomon fury at Daniel Farke decision in Leeds v Blackburn revealed
Neil Redfearn believes Manor Solomon was justified in his furious reaction to his substitution for Leeds United in the 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.
The Met Office gave the clash at Elland Road the green light to proceed after high winds and heavy rainfall threatened to wreak havoc in Yorkshire but, the Whites were unable to stretch their lead at the top of the Championship.
However, Solomon, who was the subject of unsavoury chants in the win against Stoke City (26 December), reacted furiously to his removal with the score 0-0, with former Whites boss Redfearn agreeing with the forward live on BBC Radio Leeds (1 December, 4:35pm).
He said: “Manor Solomon is not happy about his substitution he has thrown his gloves down into the dugout and turned around and shrugged – he was properly upset.
“You can’t blame him, he just put the best ball of the game in.”
Manor Solomon furious as Leeds United draw v Blackburn Rovers
The first match of 2025 ended in heart-breaking fashion for Leeds.
With the clash heading for a bore 0-0 draw at Elland Road, Dominic Hyam brought down Mateo Joseph in the final five minutes for a spot-kick wherein Pascal Struijk converted.
However, the hosts failed to deal with a routine corner-kick, allowing Danny Batth to roll the ball past Illan Meslier and secure a share of the spoils for John Eustace.
Although Solomon could not provide the spark to break the deadlock for Leeds, he was undoubtedly one of the liveliest performers in a resoundingly disappointing outing for Daniel Farke’s men.

The Tottenham loanee has truly stepped up to become a key figure at Elland Road this term, particularly after his starring role in the 4-0 win against Oxford United on 21 December.
His reaction to his removal is a testament to his dedication to Leeds, and while his actions will, of course, be spun into a negative narrative – no footballer wants to be taken off with the game on the line.
