Adrian Durham slammed Blackburn striker Yuki Ohashi for staying on the ground as he wanted a penalty given against Leeds United.

The talkSPORT journalist spotted the Japan international doing it at Elland Road on 1 January and no penalty was given, before Ohashi eventually being taken off due to an injury.

The game ended 1-1 after some late drama with Pascal Struijk scoring a penalty in the 88th minute of the contest and Danny Batth equalising a few minutes after.

Durham said on talkSPORT on 1 January at 15:34: "It's ridiculous. Something needs to be done to stop it. Absolutely ridiculous."

Leeds United put in a drab performance against Blackburn Rovers

These things are certainly unacceptable and the Elland Road faithful rightly booed the Blackburn striker for his antics.

It's good to see the referee not giving in to it and waving off any appeals from the visitors for a penalty.

Leeds dominated possession all game but were struggling to make something telling happen in the final third.

Until the 70th minute, they just had one shot on target - a disappointing tally for a side aiming to secure promotion.

The fans' frustration was evident all afternoon and Farke certainly needs to do better to ensure that such games are not a drag.

Hopefully, things get better this year as it was not the best of performances to kick start 2025.
