Hear the amazing reaction to Hernandez goal from Argentine commentator as Leeds go worldwide
There might not have been limbs in the stadium when Pablo Hernandez scored the late winner for Leeds United against Swansea but the players did a pretty good job of celebrating it.
And there were limbs worldwide as fans around the globe celebrated a massive three points.
But the very best reaction we’ve heard has come from Argentine commentator Jeronimo Torres Santoro who has come as close as anyone we’ve ever heard to replicating a Phil Hay goal tweet in audio form.
Athletic journalist Hay is famous for his celebratory tweets – many Leeds fans rely on seeing them on their timelines.
And Torres sounds even more excited about Hernandez scoring in his commentary of the game from Sunday. Check it out below – this is truly brilliant, as pointed out by some Leeds fans in the comments section.
Noel Whelan and Adom Pope do a brilliant job of the commentary on BBC Radio Leeds but even Whelan could take a tip or two from Torres.
This is how it sounded on BBC Radio Leeds on Sunday. Perhaps they could get Torres in for a guest spot sometime in the future?
There are plenty of Leeds fans in Argentina since Bielsa came out to manage the Whites.
And it was the Newell’s Old Boys fan account that put us onto the brilliant commentary from the Argentine broadcaster.
We’re going to be keeping an eye on the La Secta Deportiva channel for any future Leeds commentary.
The next chance Torres is going to get is on Thursday when Leeds welcome Barnsley to Elland Road in a game that could see Bielsa secure promotion for Leeds.
Torres will be well worth a listen then.
