Leeds United Super Fans urge Marcela Bielsa to axe Liam Cooper from starting XI after Everton draw
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Leeds Insider Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road.
Leeds United fans were unimpressed by captain Liam Cooper during their 2-2 draw versus Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old started for the second consecutive game as Leeds attempted to make amends for last weekend’s dismal 5-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
However, Cooper’s display against Everton at Elland Road failed to inspire supporters.

There were some nervous moments and carelessness on the ball from the Scotland international, though he did claim an assist for Raphinha’s equaliser.
We asked our esteemed panel of Leeds Unite Super Fans for their thoughts on Cooper and whether Marcelo Bielsa should axe him from the starting XI when Robin Koch or Diego Llorente return from injury.
Here’s what they had to say…

Fourth-choice?
Leeds certainly have plenty of options at centre-back, but keeping them all fit has proven to be a difficult task.
Koch and Llorente were both high-profile signings last summer and they have impressed when handed the opportunity, but they were missing from Saturday’s squad.
Young defender Pascal Struijk has also battled his way into the reckoning and he started yesterday.
Cooper is the captain and has led the Whites to the Premier League, but his performances have taken a downturn and there is real concern over whether he is at the level required.
Bielsa, however, doesn’t appear to alarmed and looks set to continue picking him even when Koch or Llorente return.
That will probably come at the expense of Struijk, but the evidence is starting to mount up that Cooper may well be the weakest out of the quartet.
