Leeds United raging after Jayden Bogle moment at HT v Hull City
Alan McInally has hit out after Jayden Bogle spurned a big chance to give Leeds United the lead against Hull City on Saturday (31 August).
Wilfried Gnonto, Daniel Farke’s biggest attacking threat after the departures of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, fed the ball into the onrushing Bogle before slamming the ball into the side-netting.
The 24-year-old full-back has experienced a mixed time at Elland Road since arriving from Sheffield United [Yorkshire Evening Post], and he will feel he should have done better in front of goal.
Speaking live via Sky Sports on Saturday (31 August, 3:15 pm), McInally said: “It’s been really good from Leeds United so far – they’ve been excellent. They should be 2-0 up.
“The biggest chance of all… I would have been raging as a striker here. Gnonto plays in Jayden Bogle, who tries to be Mr. Smartypants and chip the goalkeeper. If he cuts into the six-yard box, even I’m scoring.”
Jayden Bogle thwarts clear chance in Leeds United v Hull City
With Summerville and Rutter’s magic now gone from the squad, Leeds needs to take their chances to secure promotion this season, especially in front of the home crowd at Elland Road.
Farke will be well aware of the dangers that the Tigers possess following their meetings in the Championship last season, only managing to claim a 3-1 win at home due to two late goals from Summerville and Dan James.

Neither of those stars are available to the manager, however, and the Whites will be hoping that this missed chance does not come back to haunt them.
With 12 goals in 103 appearances for the Blades, it will come as a surprise to some to see Bogle miss the chance from such close range, but the link-up down the right flank is a good sign.
